Joscha Gewinner has been a Research Assistant in the Media Change & Innovation Division at the Institute of Mass Communication and Media Research (IPMZ), University of Zurich since May 2012. Joscha studied economics and business administration at the Leibniz University of Hannover (Germany) and holds a degree as Diplom-Ökonom. He majored in marketing, media studies and computer science for business administration. His thesis was about the impact of user experience on brand strength by analyzing the usage of an iPad app of a German newspaper empirically. Joscha Gewinner contributes to the SNF project Algorithmic Selection in the Internet with research on algorithmic selection and business models.
